Death Grip to sponsor the 2011 Omaha Film Festival!

Death Grip Electric, Inc. has just become a sponsor of the 2011 Omaha Film Festival!

We look forward to partnering with The Omaha Film Festival, which we view as a vital centerpiece to a burgeoning and passionate film scene in Nebraska. Its spirit and values are perfectly aligned with our vision to help independent filmmakers achieve their goals.

As a result, Death Grip Electric is proud to announce the first annual “Death Grip Electric Award for Killer Cinematography.” The award will be given to the cinematographer of a Nebraska short film that displays outstanding achievement in the art and craft of cinematography. Judged on lighting and visual storytelling, a jury will award the prize package which will consist of a plaque, Death Grip merchandise, and up to three days of free grip and lighting rental for their next project. With a prize package worth over $1200 we hope to celebrate and inspire local cinematographers to push themselves and their craft.

Death Grip looks forward to being a presence at this year’s festival where we will have merchandise for sale as well as feature our incredible “Grip Truck.”

Not really a truck, but a 1992 Sayers & Scoville Cadillac hearse that rolls on 24″ chrome rims, we have fully customized it to accommodate the grip and lighting equipment. Our inventory includes only the newest and best from Kino Flo, Arri, Matthews and Modern Studio Equipment. The hearse also comes with an alarm system, new stereo system with ipod dock and turns heads at every corner.

With a custom G&E package that is perfect for commercials, indie film, shorts, interviews, music videos, industrials and corporate video, Death Grip Electric is quickly becoming the most talked about grip and lighting rental house in the midwest.

Please come out and support local filmmakers and attend as many events as you can at this year’s 2011 Omaha Film Festival. It’s going to be the best year yet!
